With high calorific value (39000-41000KJ/KG), cheaper prices, and safer for storage as the features, heavy fuel oil has become the most widespread-used fuel for Fuel Burner and Internal Combustion Engine. Due to the high viscosity and high colloidal Asphaltene and high sulfur content, the heavy fuel oil should be heated up before use. This takes time, in some cases this can be quite a long time and whilst the heating takes place, the short-carbon-chain and the natural-condensate-resistant-substances will be suspended in the upper level. The Asphaltene is caramelized and liable to form oil sludge, which also adheres to the wall of the pipeline, as well as sinks to the bottom of the tank. These reactions will affect the burning efficiency and produce air pollution. Besides, storage and transportation of heavy fuel oil will be serious problems. |
